ITINERARY

DAY 01: FRI - ROME

Arrive in Rome today. Transfer independently to your hotel for check-in. Balance of the day is at leisure. Meet the tour host this evening for a welcome drink and an overview of the week's itinerary and highlights. Overnight in Rome.

DAY 02: SAT - ROME

After breakfast, transfer to the Vatican for a guided visit of the Museum. Vatican art and history have always left a profound impression on visitors to Rome: discover the masterpieces of Greek and Roman ancient art, works of Raphael, Michelangelo and Caravaggio, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. Return to the hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure for personal exploration. Enjoy dinner this evening in a local restaurant. Overnight in Rome. (B/D)

DAY 03: SUN - ROME

After breakfast, the morning is at leisure. This afternoon's tour visits Ancient Rome. Learn about the mythical origins, thousands of years of history and the legendary heroes who made Rome "Caput Mundi" with a visit to the Colosseum. Inside, breathe the incredible past of the amphitheatre and its atmosphere lead by passionate and expert guides. Dinner will be served in a traditional Roman Trattoria, away from the touristic crowds and among the locals. Overnight in Rome. (B/D)

DAY 04: MON - SIENA AND SAN GIMIGNANO

After breakfast, travel to Siena, Italy's loveliest medieval city. Enjoy the magnificent drive along the roads of Tuscany with views of hills covered by vineyards, olive trees, small villages, and original bell towers. Take a walking tour of Siena. Its heart is Il Campo Square, where the famous horse race Il Palio takes place twice each Summer. The town offers magnificent masterpieces and incredible views. Enjoy lunch in a typical farm house outside the town overlooking hills covered by vineyards and olive trees. Continue to Florence, visiting San Gimignano enroute. Enjoy some free time in this World Heritage sight, whose medieval look fascinates its visitors and creates a unique skyline with its high towers. Arrive to Florence in the late afternoon. Overnight in Florence. (B/L)

DAY 05: TUE - FLORENCE

After breakfast, take a walking tour of Florence. Lorenzo de Medici transformed Florence into the cradle of the Renaissance by attracting the best artists, architects, and writers of the time, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Botticelli. Visit the Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, the Dome with Giotto's bell tower, Ponte Vecchio, and Santa Croce. The afternoon is at leisure, where you can visit the Uffizi or the Accademia or taking an excursion to Pisa or Lucca. Enjoy dinner in a local Tuscan Restaurant. Overnight in Florence. (B/D).

DAY 06: WED - VENICE

After breakfast, transfer to the railway station for your high speed train to Venice. Upon arrival in Venice, transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a panoramic tour of the town highlighting its major sights. Enjoy a typical Venetian dinner, followed by a brief walking tour to discover the mysterious side of Venice. Overnight in Venice. (B/D).

DAY 07: THU - VENICE

After breakfast, the day is at leisure. Optional tours are available. Enjoy a special farewell dinner this evening. Overnight in Venice. (B/D).

DAY 08: FRI - DEPARTURE

After breakfast, transfer independently to the airport or railway station for your departure. (B)
