Itinerary
Day 1 USA/Cairo:
Board EgyptAir's direct flight to
Cairo at JFK International Airport.
Day 2 Arrival:
Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be
met by our representative and escorted to your hotel.
Day 3 Cairo: (BLD)
Visit the fascinating collections of
antiquities at the Egyptian Museum.. Tour Old Cairo, including the
Church of St. Sergius on the site where the Holy Family lived in Cairo
and Ben Ezra Synagogue near the spot where pharaoh's soldiers found the
infant Moses. After lunch at a local restaurant, drive to Giza to visit
the world-renowned Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. In the evening, board
the Sleeper-Train to Aswan. A modest dinner will be served on board.
Day 4 Aswan: (B)
On board the train you will be served
with a modest breakfast. (Opportunity to fly to Abu Simbel, to visit
the temples of Ramses II and his Nubian Queen Nefertari; then fly back
to Aswan is available at additional cost.) First we tour the awesome
Aswan Dams, and next an ancient granite quarry complete with an
unfinished obelisk. Then we go by motor launch to
the islands temples of Philae. In the afternoon we sail on a
graceful felucca among the islands on the Nile. Overnight at
Movenpick Hotel or similat.
Day 5 Luxor: (B)
Drive towards Luxor. En route
visit the twin temples at Kom Ombo, then drive up to Edfu, to climb
abroad horse-drawn carriages, and clip-clop through the town to the
Temple of Horus, Egypt's best- preserved. Overnight at Sonesta St.
George Hotel or similar in Luxor.
Day 6 Luxor: (B)
Crossing the Nile, we tour the
magnificent tombs in the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens,
including the great funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. After lunch,
we visit the gigantic Great Temple of Amon at Karnak and the mighty
Luxor Temple. Overnight at Sonesta St. George or similar in Luxor.
Day 7 Luxor/Cairo: (B)
Day at leisure in Luxor. In
the evening, transfer to Luxor Train Station and board the
Sleeper-Train to back Cairo. A modest dinner will be served on board.
Day 8 Cairo: (B)
On board the Sleeper-Train you will
be served with a modest breakfast. Upon
arrival in Cairo, you
will be escorted to Sofitel Le Sphinx Hotel or similar. Day at leisure in Cairo.
Day 9 Departure: (B)
After breakfast at your hotel, you
will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for EgyptAir's
direct flight to JFK.

in Luxor, including
tax, service charge and buffet
breakfast.
- Sightseeing as per
itinerary, including all entry fees and English-speaking Egyptologist guide.
- One lunch at
a local restaurant during Cairo
sightseeing.
NOT INCLUDED:
- Visas.
- Tipping.
- Travel insurance.
- Tax on
airfare, currently estimated at $300.00 and subject to
change until ticketed.
- Any meals,
transfers or sightseeing not included in the itinerary.

as: entry to any of the Pyramids in Giza,
Solar Boats Museum,
