DAY 1: CAIRO
Our staff meets you at the airport, assists with formalities and escorts you to your hotel. Get your first taste of Cairo today!

DAY 2: CAIRO (BL)
Our full day of sightseeing includes visits to the great Pyramids at Giza, the Sphinx, Cheops’ Solar Boat, the Valley Temple, and the necropolis at Memphis and Sakkara. This evening, you’ll thrill to the majestic sound and light show at the pyramids.

DAY 3: CAIRO & ASWAN (BLD)
Once more we plunge into the sights of Cairo on a full-day sight-seeing tour. We visit the magnificent Egyptian Museum, Manial Palace, the city’s ancient walls and gates, Saladin’s Citadel, and the Alabaster and Sultan Hassan Mosques. In the evening we depart for Aswan by overnight sleeper-train. All aboard! Though not deluxe, the train is comfortable, and a real adventure for train-lovers. If you prefer, you may fly to Aswan the next day, available at additional cost).

DAY 4: ASWAN (B)
Watching the desert scenery unfold, we enjoy breakfast on board our train. We arrive in Aswan about 10:00 a.m., and set out to visit the Philae Temple and the lofty Aswan dams. In the afternoon, we set sail on a graceful felucca, among the islands in the Nile, past the Aga Khan Mausoleum across the Nile. In the evening, we return to Philae for a spellbinding sound and light show.

DAY 5: ASWAN & LUXOR (B)
The morning is free to revisit special sights, stroll along the river, or pick up some fine Egyptian cotton items in the market. This afternoon we make the short flight to Luxor to visit the stupendous temples of Luxor and Karnak.

DAY 6: LUXOR & CAIRO (B)
We cross the Nile to visit the necropolis of ancient Thebes. You’ll marvel at the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. We also visit the ancient Egyptian workers’ village of Deir El Medinah before flying back to Cairo, and our hotel.

DAY 7: CAIRO (B)
After breakfast, our staff escorts you to the airport for your flight home.
