EGYPT CHRISTMAS SPECIAL

A nine day program including air from JFK, three nights in Cairo with a full day tour and a four night/five day deluxe Nabila Nile cruise in a suite on the Nile.

Dec 20 Day 1 USA/Cairo:
Board EgyptAir’s direct flight to Cairo at JFK International Airport.

Dec 21 Day 2 Arrival:
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to the Sofitel Sphinx hotel.  In the afternoon, drive to the ancient capital at Memphis and tour the necropolis at Sakkara, home of the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, probably the oldest known pyramid in Egypt.

Dec 22 Day 3 Cairo: (BL)
Begin your day with a visit to the fascinating collections of antiquities at the Egyptian Museum. Visit the Citadel of Saladin, where you will see the Mosque of Mohamed Ali, built entirely of alabaster.   After lunch at a local restaurant, drive to Giza to see the world-renowned Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. 

Dec 23 Day 4 Cairo/Cruise: (BLD)
Transfer to the airport for your fight to  Aswan, where you will transfer to your deluxe Nabila Nile cruise vessel.  (Opportunity to fly to Abu Simbel and visit the Temples of Ramses II and Nefertari available at additional cost. )  After lunch on board, sail in a traditional felucca among the islands in the Nile.

Dec 24 Day 5 Cruise: (BLD)
Today you will visit beautiful Philae Temple, the Aswan Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk. Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the temples of Horus the falcon god and Sobek the crocodile god. Sail to Edfu and dock for the night.

Dec 25 Day 6 Cruise: (BLD)
A brisk ride in a horse-drawn carriage brings you through the town of Edfu to the Temple of Horus, the best preserved temple on the Nile. Sail to Esna and cross the lock, arriving at Luxor tonight.

Dec 26 Day 7 Cruise: (BLD)
Cross the Nile to visit the pharaohs’ tombs in the Valley of the Kings, the tombs of their wives and children in the Valley of the Queens and the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, who ruled Egypt as pharaoh for over twenty years. After lunch, visit the stupendous Temple of Amon at Karnak and Luxor Temple.

Dec 27 Day 8 Cruise/Cairo: (B)
Check out of the cruise and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo, where you will stay at the Novotel Heliopolis near the airport.

Dec 28 Day 9 Departure: (B)

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the airport for EgyptAir’s flight to JFK
