Board your flight to Amman. |
| Day 2 Arrival: |
Upon arrival in Amman, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure. |
| Day 3Amman/Jarash/Ajloun/Umm Qais: (BD) |
Drive to Jarash, one of the most beautifully preserved and restored Greco-Roman provincial capitals. Jarash has Amphitheaters, Roman baths, a Hippodrome and several temples, including the Temples of Artemis and Zeus. Proceed to Ajloun castle, built by the Omayyad Caliphs of Damascus in the eighth century A.D. Drive to Umm Qais, one of the Jordan’s most unique Greco Roman Decapolis sites, where you will enjoy a fascinating panoramic view. Overnight in Amman. |
| Day 4 Amman Tour/Desert Castle : (BD) |
Today you will enjoy a full day tour of Amman including the Citadel with the second century Temple of Hercules sixth century the Byzantine Basilica and the 8th century Umayyad “Qasr”. You will also be visiting the National Archaeological Museum, the Roman amphitheater and baths, and the Folkloric Museum. Continue on to the Desert Castles, where you will see the spectacular and original monuments of early Islamic art, these complexes also served practical purposes: namely, as residences, caravanserais, and baths. Overnight in Amman. |
| Day 5 Madaba/Mt. Nebo/Karak/Petra : (B) |
Today you will start with a visit of Madaba, to see the Mosaics in the church of St. George. Then, You will drive south to Mount Nebo, where you will visit the basilica of Moses where he saw the Promised Land. You will see the place of the baptism of the Lord Jesus on the Jordan River. You will also visit the Karak castle which is one of the three largest castles in the region. Drive to Petra for overnight. |
| Day 6 Petra: (B) |
Today you will enjoy a full day sightseeing of Petra. You will be visiting the rose-red city known as Sela in the Bible and lost to the world for five centuries until it was rediscovered in 1812. Enter Petra on horseback through a narrow gorge carved in the sandstone and opening on the stunning view of the Treasury, made famous in the movie “Indiana Jones and Temple of Doom”. Visit the palace, the High Palaces and the Roman-Style Palace Tomb. Overnight Petra. |
Day 7 Petra/Shoubak Castle/
Aqaba/Wadi Rum/Dead Sea : (B) |
Today you will start the day by visiting little Petra. You will also visit the Shoubak Castle, and then drive to Aqaba. You will drive to Wadi-Rum, for a two hour safari, where you will take a 4x4 jeep tour through a moonscape of ancient valleys, with towering weathered sandstone mountains rising out of the white and pink colored sands. Much of David Lean’s movie “Lawrence of Arabia” was filmed here. Then, drive to the Dead Sea for overnight. |
| Day 8 Dead Sea/Departure: (B) |
Free morning to enjoy the Dead Sea. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for flight back home. |
