| Sat, Day 2, Arrival |
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to the Ramses Hilton hotel, which overlooks Tahrir Square, scene of the recent historic demonstrations in Cairo. |
| Sun, Day 3, Cairo (BL) |
Begin your tour with a visit to the fascinating collections of antiquities at the Egyptian Museum and you will also visit the Tahrir Square. Tour Old Cairo, including the Church of St. Sergius where the Holy Family lived in Cairo and Ben Ezra Synagogue, near the spot where pharaoh’s soldiers found the infant Moses. After lunch at a local restaurant, drive to Giza to see the world-renowned Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. |

Day of leisure to continue exploring Cairo on your own. (Perhaps you would enjoy an optional tour of Alexandria on the Mediterranean, where you could visit the new Library and the Greco-Roman ruins.) |
| Tues, Day 5, Cruise (BLD) |
Early morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Aswan. (Opportunity for an optional visit to Abu Simbel, to see the famous temples of Ramses II and his queen Nefertari.) In Aswan, you will board your Nabila Nile cruise vessel in time to enjoy lunch on board. In the afternoon, sail in a traditional felucca, past the Botanical Gardens and the Mausoleum of Agha Khan. |
| Wed, Day 6, Cruise (BLD) |
This morning you will visit beautiful Philae Temple, the Aswan Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk. Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the twin Ptolemaic temples of Horus and Sobek. Sail to Edfu and dock for the night. |
| Thurs, Day 7, Cruise (BLD) |
A brisk ride in a horse-drawn carriage brings you through the town of Edfu to the Temple of Horus, the best preserved temple on the Nile. Sail to Esna and cross the lock, arriving at Luxor tonight |
| Fri, Day 8, Cruise (BLD) |
Cross the Nile to visit the pharaohs’ tombs in the Valley of the Kings, the tombs of their wives and children in the Valley of the Queens and the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. After lunch on board, visit the magnificent Temples of Karnak and Luxor. |
| Sat, Day 9, Cruise/Cairo (BLD) |
After breakfast, check out of the cruise and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo, where you will return to your hotel. |
| Sun, Day 10, Departure (B) |
Transfer to the airport for your homeward flight, bringing with you memories of this great country and its vivid history, both in ancient times and today. |
