Our special 7-Day Tour
shows you the top sights in Cairo, with four days (three nights)
cruising on the Nile.
 DAY 1: WELCOME TO CAIRO!
Thursday Our staff meets you at the
airport and escorts you to your hotel. Enjoy the sights and sounds of
Cairo as you like for the rest of the day.
DAY 2: CAIRO
Friday (BL) Today we get to know the
great Egyptian capital on a full-day tour. We start at the Egyptian
Museum, then go on to Saladin’s Citadel with its Alabaster Mosque.
After lunch at Felfela, one of Cairo’s most famous old-time
restaurants, we drive to Giza for a visit to the Sphinx and a tour of
the great pyramids.
DAY 3: LUXOR
Saturday (BLD) An early flight takes
us to Luxor, where we visit the gigantic Temple of Amon at Karnak, and
the mighty Luxor Temple.
DAY 4: LUXOR
Sunday (BLD) Today we visit the
pharaohs’ tombs in the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen
Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari, and the Valley of the Queens. We continue
to Esna, where we cross the lock and sail to dfu.
DAY 5 : EDFU
Monday (BLD) At dockside, we board
horse-drawn carriages for the short clip-clop ride through the town of
Edfu to the stupendous Temple of Horus, the best preserved temple on
the Nile. Then set sail for Aswan.
DAY 6 : ASWAN
Tuesday (B) Disembark and visit the
Temples of Philae, rescued from the rising waters behind the High Dam,
and the unfinished Obelisk. Fly back to Cairo and return to your hotel.
DAY 7 : CAIRO/USA
Wednesday (B) After breakfast, our
staff escorts you to the airport for your flight home.
