Dec 10, Sat, Day 1 USA/Cairo:

Board Egypt Air's (MS986) direct flight to Cairo at JFK International Airport.

Dec 11, Sun, Day 2 Arrival:

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to five-star Ramses Hilton hotel, near Tahrir Square, scene of the recent historic demonstrations. Afternoon at leisure.

Dec 12, Mon, Day 3 Cairo/Luxor/Cruise: (BLD)

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Luxor, where you will board your five-star Nabila Nile cruise vessel. Cross the Nile to visit the West Bank where you will get to see the pharaohs’ tombs in the Valley of the Kings, the tombs of their wives and children in the Valley of the Queens and the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. After lunch, visit the magnificent Temples of Karnak and Luxor. Overnight in Luxor.

Dec 13, Tue, Day 4 Cruise: (BLD)

Sail to Esna and cross the lock, arriving at Edfu tonight.

Dec 14, Wed, Day 5 Cruise: (BLD)

Today, enjoy a brisk ride in a horse-drawn carriage which brings you through the town of Edfu to the Temple of Horus, the best preserved temple on the Nile. Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the Ptolemaic temples of Horus and Sobek. Sail to Aswan and dock for the night.

Dec 15, Thu, Day 6 Cruise: (BLD)    

This morning visit the beautiful Philae Temple, the Aswan Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk. After lunch, sail in a traditional felucca among the islands in the Nile.

Dec 16, Fri, Day 7 Cruise/Aswan/Cairo: (B)

After breakfast, check out of the cruise (Opportunity to visit Abu Simbel and see the temples of Ramses II and his Queen Nefertari available to additional cost) and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Overnight at the Ramses Hilton hotel or similar in Cairo.

Dec 17, Sat, Day 8 Cairo: (BL)    

Begin your tour with a visit to the fascinating collections of antiquities at the Egyptian Museum. Tour Old Cairo, including the Church of St. Sergius on the site where the Holy Family lived in Cairo and Ben Ezra Synagogue, near the spot where pharaohs’ soldiers found the infant Moses. After lunch at a local restaurant, drive to Giza to see the world-renowned Great Pyramids and the Sphinx.

Dec 18, Sun, Day 9 Departure: (B)

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for EgyptAir's (MS985) direct flight to JFK. (Optional 3 night excursion to Jordan FAM featuring Petra. See details below)

Dec 18 Day 1 Arrival:

Upon arrival at the Amman airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to the Regency hotel Amman or similar.

Dec 19 Day 2 Amman/Jarash/Madaba/Mt.Nebo/Petra:(B)

After breakfast, you will enjoy a full day tour of Amman including the Citadel with the second century Temple of Hercules, the sixth century Byzantine Basilica and the 8th century Umayyad "Qasr". You will also be visiting the National Archaeological Museum, the Roman amphitheater and baths, and the Folkloric Museum. Then drive to Jarash, one of the most beautifully preserved and restored Greco-Roman provincial capitals.

Jarash has Amphitheaters, Roman baths, a Hippodrome and several temples, including the Temples of Artemis and Zeus. You will drive south to Mount Nebo, where you will visit the basilica of Moses where he saw the Promised Land. Continue to Madaba to visit the Mosaics in the church of St. George. Drive to Petra and overnight at Beit Zaman or similar.

Dec 20 Day 3 Petra/Dead Sea: (B)

Today you will enjoy a full day sightseeing of Petra. You will be visiting the rose-red city known as Sela in the Bible and lost to the world for five centuries until it was rediscovered in 1812. Enter Petra on horseback through a narrow gorge carved in the sandstone and opening on the stunning view of the Treasury, made famous in the movie "Indiana Jones and Temple of Doom". Visit the High Places and the Roman-Style Palace Tomb. Drive to the Dead Sea; Overnight at the Dead Sea Spa hotel.

Dec 21 Day 4 Departure/Cairo: (B)

Enjoy a relaxing morning by the Dead Sea. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Overnight at the Meridian Heliopolis hotel.

Dec 22 Day 5 Departure/JFK: (B)

After breakfast, transfer to the Cairo International Airport for your direct EgyptAir's flight to JFK.
